World Labs, Led by Fei-Fei Li, Acquires Sceni

World Labs has announced the acquisition of SceniX, a robotics company, bringing the team in-house to accelerate its work on spatial intelligence — systems that perceive, generate, reason about, and interact with both virtual and physical environments. Robotics is where that capability becomes tangible: a robot has to read the space around it, model how objects move and interact, anticipate the results of its own actions, and then act dependably. World Labs expects the next set of breakthroughs to come from combining spatial intelligence, world models, learning-based simulation, and a closed feedback loop with real-world learning, and points to complementary technical strengths across the two teams.
