Lime, the shared e-bike and e-scooter operator, completed its initial public offering on July 1 and began trading on the Nasdaq under the ticker "LIME," a milestone for a company that has spent nearly a decade turning micro-mobility from a hype cycle into an operating business. Lime today runs in 230 cities across 29 countries, spanning five continents, and has powered more than a billion rides since launching in 2017. CEO Wayne Ting credits the company's discipline on unit costs, along with its use of software and machine learning to manage operations city by city, for building a durable model.
